Nicolas Berthold is member of the Brussels Bar since 2009.
His main areas of practice are intellectual property law, personal data law, media and information technology law, market practices and commercial distribution law.
In 2020, Nicolas was awarded the title of specialist in intellectual property rights by the Brussels Bar.
Nicolas Berthold is also a third-party decision-maker within the CEPANI for disputes relating to “.be” domain names and a third-party decision-maker approved by the French Bar Association in Brussels.
In addition to his practice as a lawyer, Nicolas is also involved in a number of academic activities.
He is currently a lecturer at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics & Management (ULB), an assistant at the University of Mons (UMons), a lecturer on the CAPA intellectual property course organised by the Ordre Français du Barreau de Bruxelles and an associate researcher at the JurisLab (Centre de Droit Privé de l’ULB).
Nicolas Berthold is also the author of several publications on intellectual property and market practices. In particular, he co-authored the book Droit des dessins et modèles Benelux et communautaires, published by Kluwer in 2017.
